HSBC Login - Online Banking
HSBC Online Banking is available to all HSBC UK customers to view your account information and balance, send payments, pay bills, and more. HSBC UK keeps your online banking safe and secure with a username and password, plus a set of security questions and a Secure Key.
What is Secure Key?When you log in to HSBC online or mobile banking, you’ll generate a temporary code that only you can access. You will need to enter this code to log in to your online and mobile banking.
Secure Key is available as a physical device or digitally within the HSBC mobile banking app
To log in to HSBC online banking, you will need to:
- Visit the HSBC UK website
- Click ‘Log on’, on the top right of the website
- Enter your username and password
- Enter your temporary Secure Key
Once you have entered your login details, you will be directed to your online banking homepage to start your banking activities, including:
- View your account balances
- View recent transactions and up to six years’ worth of statements
- View your account number and sort code
- Move money between your accounts and to other accounts in either the UK or overseas
- Access your HSBC savings account, credit card, loan, and other accounts and products.
- Update your personal details including your address and email
- Activate new cards, report them lost or stolen, replace a damaged one or add a temporary block
If you leave your online banking idle, it will automatically log you out for security purposes.
It should also go without saying, but you should never disclose your HSBC login details to anybody, and HSBC UK should never ask you for your login details. If you receive a phone call or email pertaining to be from HSBC UK asking for your HSBC login username and password, you should report this immediately by contacting HSBC customer service.
HSBC Login - Mobile Banking
HSBC Mobile Banking is the mobile equivalent of Online Banking. It affords many of the same features and benefits you get when you bank online, with the added plus that you can access and manage your account on the go.
You will first need to download the HSBC UK Mobile Banking app to your smartphone.
The HSBC UK Mobile Banking app is available to download for free from the App Store and Google Play Store for iOS and Android devices.
To log in to HSBC mobile banking, you will need to:
- Open the HSBC UK Mobile Banking app
- Enter your username and password
- Enter your temporary Secure Key
Compatible smartphones can use fingerprint ID or facial ID for a quicker login experience
Once you are logged in to mobile banking, you will have access to many of the same features you get with Online Banking, including:
- View your balance and recent transactions
- Transfer money
- Move money between your other HSBC UK accounts
- Pay bills
- View and manage your direct debits
- Set up and manage standing orders
HSBC Login - Business Internet Banking
If you are an HSBC UK Business Banking customer, then you have access to its Business Internet Banking platform.
To log in to HSBC UK Business Banking, you will need to:
- Visit the HSBC UK Business website
- Click ‘Log on’, on the top right of the website
- Enter your username and password
- Enter your temporary Secure Key
HSBC Login - Business Banking App
Business customers have access to the HSBC UK Business Banking app, available to download for free from the App Store and Google Play Store for iOS and Android devices. You will need to have registered for Business Internet Banking and set up an access code to log in to its mobile banking service. Once registered, you can access your account on the go.
To log in to HSBC UK Business Mobile Banking, you will need to:
- Open the HSBC UK Business Mobile Banking app
- Enter your username and password
- Enter your access code
What is my HSBC UK Business Access Code?To use the HSBC UK Business Banking App, you will need to set up an access code from within your Business Internet Banking. This code allows you to log in to the app with no security device.
HSBC Login from abroad
If you need to access your HSBC UK from abroad, then you can do so with both its Online and Mobile Banking.
If you are accessing your account abroad from a mobile phone, then your mobile phone provider may charge you for any data you use. Alternatively, you can connect to WiFi to avoid being charged excessive roaming fees.
