Is 3 days in Honolulu enough? ›

A 3-day itinerary for Oahu is the minimum time I would recommend unless you are just transiting through here on your way to another island. You could just as easily fill a whole week on Oahu if you're interested in doing more hikes, beach days or spending extended time at cultural sites and museums.

So you've dreamed of island-hopping around Hawaii? 2 weeks is the perfect amount of time to comfortably visit 3 islands (and you can squeeze in a 4th island if you're really bad!).

Do homes (dwellings) on Hawaiian Home Lands require building permits? Yes, a building permit would be required for renovations, alterations, additions, or new structures.

Dedicate around 3 days to acclimate to the time change and allow 2 days for travel, leaving you with 8 full days to fully immerse yourself in the island you choose to stay on. If you plan on engaging in activities such as hiking, snorkeling, or camping, extending your stay to 14 days is worth considering.

How long does it take to drive around Oahu? The Oahu circle drive can take you 4-6 hours, but that depends on which route you take and if you don't stop much. From Waikiki, Honolulu to the North Shore and back, is a full day but not overwhelming, give yourself 8 hours.
